On Martin Luther King Jr. day, the 4 older kids and I bundled up and went for a hike in the woods of Rock Creek Park. The kids had fun finding small patches of ice and "skating" on them (ice is big here, since it isn't very often they have it!) It was beautiful. Along the way, we ran into Josh's school friend, who showed us a huge, shallow pond that had frozen completely. We joined he and his uncle on the ice and scrapped together an amazingly funny game of stick ice hockey. We called Brent and Sarah and they came over too. We stayed at the pond for 3 hours and really had fun laughing, falling down A LOT, and watching the girls try to "whip" the boys in full-contact hockey:) The kids slept great that night!!

That looks like fun. You won't be able to do that in Egypt!
It is amazing how some of the funest activities are often the ones that just happen on a nice spontaneous day.I love it.
